Sven-Göran Eriksson opens up after terminal diagnosis
Former England manager Sven-Göran Eriksson publicly revealed earlier this year that he has terminal cancer and “about a year” to live. The 75-year-old’s announcement was met with an outpouring of public support and has now paved the way for the Swede to fulfil one of his lifetime ambitions — To manage Liverpool FC. In February that grant was duly wished asd it was announced that Eriksson would be part of the Liverpool FC Legends management team for a charity soccer match taking place this coming Saturday. Eriksson will be on the sidelines alongside Liverpool greats Ian Rush, John Barnes and John Aldridge against an Ajax Legends team. He’s been telling CNN’s Amanda Davies why it’s always be his dream to manage the Merseyside giants.
